Vacation Spotlight-Cruises

Let's talk about a one of my favorite vacations-a cruise!

Before doing my vacation cruise, I had done a few work cruises that were great but when you are not working they are awesome!

We loved to do all inclusive vacations and we still do but a cruise really does offer some great things.

For example-

The shows and entertainment is top of the line.

Dining is amazing, regardless if you are in the Main Dining Room or a specialty restaurant.

So much to do onboard during the sea days, they have music, fun at the pool, some have water slides, and many more options

They offer many venues and shopping.

Cabins range from inside cabins to the special suites that offer many amenities.

I am sure I am missing something!

So who should consider a cruise?

Basically anyone who likes to relax and chill to the person that loves to be on the move

When we took our first vacation cruise we were shocked at the options.  We quickly fell in love with cruising.  We love the ports but also the days at seas can be just as fun.

I sell all cruise lines but I do admit I love to cruise on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity however that is my preference.

 Learn to travel smart!

When you are preparing to travel please travel smart!  What do I mean?

I always ask my clients to review their travel documents, they contain so much valuable information.

Such as...

Your flight information

In case of travel issues who do you call?  Once you are in travel your travel supplier is the one to call-all information is in your documents.

If you do have a travel delay or cancellation be sure to have any receipts for food, hotel anything you had to purchase.  Also if you should ask go to your airline desk and ask for any documentation you might need.  Once you are home I can submit your claim-if you purchase travel protection which I recommend.  I love to help my clients but when you are traveling you need to obtain any information that will help your claim.

So you made it to your destination, enjoy!

Well you do need to do a few things especially if you are returning to the airport with ground transportation.  For example when traveling you have prepaid transfer.  You need to meet with your representatives to arrange pick up,  they usually give you a meeting time.  I admit I have missed these meeting and it is a not easy to contact your rep on resort so attend the meeting!

Another tip is if you have a pickup time arrive early in case they are early, if you are late they will leave!

When you decide you are ready to plan your next vacation, give me a call. If you already have an idea of what you would like to do that is great if not I will work you through the process by asking questions about the vacations you have loved and even the ones you have not loved!  Also what are your hobbies, if you like a adventure vacation or one that is just for relaxing!

Sometimes this does take awhile but I want to be sure my clients are getting a "Special Vacation."

Once we know what you want I will do some price checking and make sure you get the best value, also I only work with trusted suppliers.  Working with the best suppliers means less stress for my clients, and me!  Some clients will find a really good deal online, I ask you send me that quote and compare it to the quote I have.  It may not include some items or it just might be a company that works on selling trips and not customer service.  

So now we have your trip ready to book!!

Things to consider when booking your vacation.

We need to be sure you have all of the travel components you need-such as ground transportation (shuttle, car rental, taxi).

Any requests such as medical issues that require certain rooms, cruise cabins, or medical equipment.  Of course we all want to request a better room but sometimes we have needs not wants so it is important to be certain we have that covered.

It is getting cold outside, do you have your special vacation booked?

 If not no worries, we are here to help you get that done.  I know it is hard to believe but as soon as Christmas is over the panic sets in and you are desperate to get out of the cold weather, or maybe plan a ski trip!

So when is a good time to book your vacation?  Typically I like to start working with clients in September or October so we can select a destination and watch the prices.  I do not work with one supplier, I have several favorites so I will check all for the best price.  I also want to point out I only work with trusted suppliers because I need to know if there are any issues they will be addressed and corrected.  

When you are ready to start checking things out give me a call or email and we will give you some options.  I do not want to overwhelm my clients so if we are looking at a few destinations, such as Jamaica, Cancun and Punta Cana I will give you a few resort options for all of them and ask you tell me what you like and do not like.  If those do not work I send you some more.  I will send as many as you need within reason.  

Once we have a few solid options we check price unless it is already a great price then we book!

All transactions will go directly through the supplier, and you will not be charged a service fee.  I do work on commission but my first priority is that you get the vacation you want for the price you want!

A look at Wonder of the Seas

 Yesterday I mentioned I took a cruise with Royal Caribbean in March on the Wonder of the Seas.  If you have never cruised before you would be amazed at what you can do on a cruise.  Our first cruise with Royal a few years ago opened our eyes to the benefits of cruising.  I am not sure where to start, every cruise we have done is a great experience.  My husband I have always enjoyed getting out of Minnesota in the winter and we usually picked a all inclusive resort to spend a week in the sun.  We enjoy the warm weather but we wanted something new.  So we tried a cruise, we did not want to love it, but we did.  It is like a city floating in the ocean, amazing food in the main dining room or you can visit a specialty restaurant.  If you get tired of the amazing pools you can go inside and have a drink at one of the many bars, or catch some music.  It seems like there is always something going on so you are never bored! 

 I recommend cruises for my clients that are looking for a fun vacation that combines relaxation with the option to explore!  During this cruise we went to St Martins and decided to do get on these inflatable boats and cruise the ocean, it was fun!  We spent a day at RCCL private island Coco Cay, we booked a cabana and it did not disappoint!  We also did the unlimited dining package, my favorite was Hooked because I love seafood!  So if you want to experience a cruise  give me a call or email and we will find the perfect cruise for you!  

Travel is Back! So Time to Plan your Travel!

Yes it is time to start making travel plans, I know many are suffering from cabin fever!  Living in Minnesota we look forward to that escape for a week or two in a warm weather destination or cruise.  So for the last few years it was just too stressful for many of us to plan a vacation and risk cancellation due to Covid.  I won't say our worries are totally over but many of us are feeling very confident that we can safely travel.  I am using my facebook page to promote a few of my favorite suppliers.  I will discuss the suppliers and vacations in my blog posts in the coming weeks.  

If you are looking to book a warm weather all inclusive vacation now is the time!  We tend to get the best deals early.  We can also use the next few weeks to find that perfect destination and resort, while watching prices.  Because all inclusive vacations are one of my specialties I am able to provide you with my knowledge of resorts and destinations.
